While neighboring Thailand lives at a more hectic pace, Laotians prefer to watch life go by slowly. It is nature that takes the work, the sustenance and the food that goes into the dishes. Not for nothing, they have a cuisine based essentially on fresh ingredients and an economy that, more and more, begins to structure itself around adventure tourism. The country has more rustic attractions, it is true, but it is not far behind when it comes to breathtaking landscapes.
