When to go

The climate in Mendoza is pleasant almost all year round. However, the best time to visit the city is between November and April. In March, the harvest festival (grape harvest) cheers up the streets.

Why you will love

  • With more than a thousand bodegas producing about a billion liters of wine a year, Mendoza is known as the "winery of Argentina." The Mendoza metropolitan region is responsible for 70% of the country's wine production, which ranks an honorable 5th in the world. Throughout the city, modern, technological wineries coexist side by side with small, artisan, family-owned cavas. The variety of grapes grown in Mendoza is enormous, but the exponent is the malbec, originally from France.
