Description

We start the Culinary Tour in Santarém at 10h00 outside the Convent of São Francisco. First, we will talk about the city’s history, the origin of its name, and the history of this beautiful 13th-century convent.

Then we will leave for a coffee and a tasting of the region’s traditional sweets in one of the city’s most renowned pastry shops.

We will continue to learn about the most important historical sites of the city. Then, we will cross the historic center and pass by the Cathedral of Santarém, Church of Marvila, Church of Graça, and Torre das Cabaças. To finish, we will enjoy the magnificent landscape of the viewpoint of the Jardim das Portas do Sol.

A pause for tasting Tejo wines and delicious regional products (cheeses and sausages) in a local establishment that prizes quality.

To end the tour, lunch in a typical restaurant in Santarém.
